Tonight the new patch is due to release and I’m very excited!
Patch 4.0.1 is the second to last major patch before the Cataclysm hits - and it's definitely major!
In this patch, many aspects of the game are drastically changing to adopt the new systems which will be used in the Cataclysm expansion world., However the world itself will not be changing - not yet, at least. Blizzard states that, that will not happened before patch 4.0.3

Here are some of the changes made:

·         Classes: revamped talent trees, updated hunter pet system, new druid, hunter, paladin, and warlock resources, new Mastery stat

·         User Interface: improved Spellbook, new Guild display options, updated PvP interface, expanded and enhanced Professions tab

·         Systems: glyph updates including all-new Prime glyphs, new Reforging ability to customize item stats, new PvP and PvE currency system

·         And much more!

This is directly from an Bluepost from wow-forums, which means that it’s a Blizzard employee posting.

Druids in Cataclysm.

New Spells

  • Trash (81)
Thrash deals damage and causes all targets within 10 yards to bleed every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. The intent here is to give bears another button to hit while tanking. Talents will affect the bleed, such as causing Swipe (bears.)to deal more damage to bleeding targets.
  • )Stampendig Roar.
The Druid roars, increasing the movement of all allies within 10 yards by 40% for 8 seconds. Stampeding Roar can be used in cat or bear form, but bears might have a talent to drop the cooldown. The goal of this ability is to give both bears and cats a little more situational group utility.
  • Unknow spell )
Grows a magical mushroom at the target location. After 4 seconds the mushroom becomes invisible. Enemies who cross the mushroom detonate it, causing it to deal area-of-effect damage, though its damage component will remain very effective against single targets. The Druid can also choose to detonate the mushroom ahead of time. This is primarily a tool for the Balance Druid, and there will be talents that play off of it.

Mechanic Changes

  • Druids will now be able to dispel defensive magic, curses and poisons with Remove CursE.
  • Savage Roar will be usable without a target.
  • Cat Form at level 8 and Bear Form at level 15.
  • Tree of life is now a cooldown ability much like Metamorposis.

This are the changes that will be made to druids for the Cataclysm. Dont really know what i like of em yeat, but i will come back with more later. Got a beta invite yesterday, and now i am about to start testing it.
